Raise Awareness About Antisemitism in TE
Donation protected
Tredyffrin/Easttown township has experienced an uptick in antisemitic incidents in the last few weeks, including the arrest of a minor student for antisemitic and racist vandalism at Valley Forge Middle School, as well as the spray-painting of swastikas on at least 6 signs throughout our community by an individual who is still at large. This hate follows an increase in antisemitic and racist language and micro-aggressions said both out loud and on social media by students throughout our school district, at all levels. The Anti-Defamation League's most recent report of data from 2022 reports a 65% increase in antisemitic hate in Pennsylvania. We can no longer say this isn't happening in our backyard so let's reclaim the narrative and "Stand with Us, Stand Up to Hate".
As concerned members of this community, both Jewish and non-Jewish alike, we are raising funds to support a public awareness campaign, including yard signs and billboards. We also hope to hold an event for the community that is both a celebration of Jewish and other cultures and an opportunity to dialogue concerning the issues of antisemitism and all forms of racism and religious hate. We hope you will join us in putting a yard sign on your property, attending the event when it is planned and supporting community efforts to combat antisemitism. Please help us fund these efforts as public sources of funding are not available. Thank you so much.
