My name is Charlee, and I am currently homeless. After three years without a place to call my own, I have been humbled and inspired to create a solution for others facing the same struggle. I know firsthand how difficult it is to feel empty and alone, and how much having your own home and the things you need can restore a sense of wholeness and hope.

That’s why I am starting Raise A Roof, a nonprofit movement dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness find dignity and stability. My vision is to purchase property with utilities, collaborate with shed providers to create small, private homes, and finish the interiors and landscaping so that each person or family has a safe, comfortable place to live. I plan to stretch every dollar by furnishing the homes through thrift shops, outlets, and yard sales, making sure each space is welcoming and complete.
