Rainwater tanks for Santa Ana, Ecuador
Donation protected
I have been working with Santa Ana, a small indigenous community in the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador on issues of water and health since 2016, and it is time to replace the household rainwater collection systems we installed over 10 years ago. These systems collect and store rainwater off the roof, providing a supply of water that lasts for several days and is free from the riskiest of contamination -- providing a much-needed source of safer drinking water and water for washing hands, dishes, clothes, and flushing toilets.

It will cost just over $200 per family for the tank, installation hardware, transportation, and a stipend for the community members who will do the installations. There are 47 families in Santa Ana.
I am doing this as a personal fundraiser and will send the money directly to the community, so it is not tax-deductible, but I hope you will still consider making a contribution to the health and wellbeing of the families of Santa Ana, who are some of the warmest, most hard-working, and spirited people I have ever met in my life.
UPDATE 11/9/23: I have now launched an etsy store where you can purchase original oil paintings, prints, and cards and I will donate all the proceeds to this cause: kendradey.etsy.com
