Mykinzie & Austin Terrell brought their beautiful baby boy, Raiden Michael Terrell, into the world on March 3rd, 2025. What they did not find out until Mykinzie was in labor was that baby Raiden would be diagnosed with HLHS. They were told he could possibly be born not breathing. This was an extremely hard and scary thing for both parents to hear.

Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) is a rare, severe congenital heart defect that occurs when the left side of the heart doesn't develop properly during pregnancy. This prevents the left side from pumping oxygenated blood into the aorta, which then carries blood throughout the body.

Raiden had his first open-heart surgery on March 7th, 2025, and will undergo two more before the age of 5. As of March 13th, Raiden's vents were taken out and he is now on the road to recovering from this extensive operation. While Raiden has been going through his operations with the greatest care from Cincinnati Children's, Mykinzie & Austin have had countless nights and days with no sleep, tears, heartache, and many prayers that GOD will pull through for their family.
