Hi, my name is Jordan, and on behalf of The TBMM Be Kind Foundation and Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective, we are proud to share the story of two charities coming together with a shared mission: creating safer, more supportive communities and inspiring change for mental health and family violence prevention.
The TBMM Be Kind Foundation
On 8th August 2023, in Rockhampton, we tragically lost Tayla Black and her baby girl, Murphy Margaret, to a devastating act of family violence. In their honour, the TBMM Be Kind Foundation was created to keep their memories alive and make a difference.
Through kindness, awareness, and community support, our vision is to assist victim-survivors and their families, ensuring their loved ones are never forgotten. By raising funds through donations and apparel sales inspired by Tayla and Murphy, we aim to provide critical support to homicide victims of crime and connect them with vital local resources. This is how we, as a family and a community, honour Tayla and Murphy: by standing as a pillar of hope and kindness for others.
Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective
Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective is a non-profit charity dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing mental illness, with a particular focus on supporting men. Our mission is to provide safe, inclusive spaces where people can connect, share, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.
Born out of the need to address the silence many men face, we empower individuals through community events, peer support, education, and advocacy. Together, we’re building a society where mental health is prioritised, and emotional wellbeing is celebrated.
Why We’re Joining Forces
Both TBMM Be Kind Foundation and Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective share a passion for empowering communities and creating meaningful change. By coming together, we aim to amplify our impact, providing support to those affected by family violence and mental health challenges.
Your support will enable us to:
Raise awareness and provide resources for victim-survivors of family violence.
Expand mental health initiatives and break the stigma through education and community engagement.
Foster safe spaces where individuals and families can heal, connect, and thrive.
How You Can Help
Your donation will directly support our shared efforts, funding vital resources, community programs, and initiatives that honour Tayla and Murphy while promoting mental health and wellbeing for all. Together, we can create a kinder, stronger community.
Thank you for helping us walk this path and spread kindness in their memory.
