February 17th is my Mom, Catherine Hickem's birthday. To honor her, I’m aiming to raise $1,702 by 31st March 2022. So join me in making a donation and sharing this video to honor those selfless people in our lives like my Mom. She was an inspiring role model for what it means to live a purposeful life passionately devoted to a cause. She left a lasting impression not only by the testimony of her life’s work but also in her memorable moral lessons and phrases. As a small city-state with limited land and a diverse group of residents, many in Singapore face challenges on the issue of housing security.
The Catholic Welfare Services - Night Missions: reaches out to the rising number of rough sleepers in the community and provides them with the support that they need. Every Friday night, staff and volunteers head out into the streets to seek out rough sleepers, distributing food, drink and essential items such as jackets and blankets, and engaging with them in simple conversation
Another organization, Star Shelter aims to provide a safe temporary refuge for women and their children who are victims of family violence regardless of race, language, creed or religion. They also empower the victims to manage and take responsibility for their lives, and assist them in rebuilding their lives free from violence.
The funds from this fundraiser will go 100% to these two organizations.
