Why do we need your money? Private developers are making claims for Public Land along the shoreline at Ragged Beach based on historical false claims of ownership & access. This is theft of Public Land.
Friends of Ragged Beach intends to challenge these false claims through the courts. with public messaging, and by pressure on government to act in the Public Interest. All this costs money. Please help
There was never any private ownership of these lands, because there never was road access to these lands. This is bully theft by financial resources intimidation.
Their intention is to fence out the public from lands that were always in the common trust. This affects the public hiking trails, public nature areas, and footpath access used by residents for 150 years.
We need to convince government that Public Land is also owned by the People, not just the Crown and Developers. We need to convince government that Conservervation Rights are not less valuable than private profit rights to develop Public Land for profit.
We have to change passive government attitude towards protecting Public Land. Legislation has to be enforced & false claims for Public Land challenged
Friends of Ragged Beach (FORB) , a registered not for profit, has been waging a 7 year battle to protect Public Land at Ragged Beach Witless Bay overlooking the Witless Bay Ecological Zone, one of Natures Natural Wonders. We've had successes and a few setbacks. .
There have been many attempts to silence the FORB ECO Voice, mostly smear, intimidation, threats, political alliance attacks, false claims, and political corruption.
FORB's voice is a Public Interest Voice to prevent Ecocide and to protect Public Land for our children's future. We need to temper the maddness of the government laser focus on economic interests, and on the fear of public consultation in deciding the future of Public Land. Join in.
