Raga therapy - The power to heal, rejuvenate and elevate
Music has the power to soothe the soul and touch the deepest parts of our being. For individuals living with autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health challenges, this power can be truly transformative.
Geetanjali Academy of Fine Arts is pioneering research into the therapeutic benefits of Indian classical music, known as Raga therapy. Led by musician & teacher Jayeeta Ghosh and in collaboration with Padma Bhushan awardee Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, this research aims to unlock the psychological and behavioural impacts of classical ragas on the brain. We are currently embarking on a multi-center study to examine the benefits of raga therapy on speech, concentration, and overall wellbeing in children with special needs, such as autism and ADHD. We ultimately aspire to make this transformative therapy accessible to the wider population.
Your contribution today can help make this vision a reality. By funding the Raga therapy research initiative, you will be investing in a future where the transformative power of music can enrich and heal. Join us on this journey to empower minds, soothe souls, and unlock the therapeutic potential of classical ragas.
Every donation, no matter the size, can make a lasting impact.
With love and gratitude
Jayeeta
