Rafik is finally getting their long awaited top-surgery in less than a month! This is such a gender-affirming, transformative chapter in Rafik’s becoming. We wish for them to experience their shapeshifting and recovery with the greatest ease and softness. We are asking for your help to support Rafik financially so that their post-op recovery is as peaceful as possible.

If you know Rafik, you will know they are an intentional, humble, sensitive and dedicated community builder who moves with their heart. They’ve dedicated their life to uplifting and crafting Black collective liberation, well-being and joy. They’ve held so many of us with care and compassion…now it’s time for Rafik to lean back and let us hold them. Let’s show them we’ve got them.

Top-surgery comes with many expected and unexpected costs and since we don’t know exactly when Rafik will be able to work/earn again, your support really means a lot. The money raised would go towards helping Rafik cover rent, buy groceries, post-op recovery supplies (mastectomy pillows, draining gear, bandages, scar gel, recovery clothing) and any other unexpected costs.
