Rafael and his teammates from Soccer, Skills and Fundamentals (SSF) U9 have earned something special—they’re heading to the National Futsal Tournament in Richmond, Virginia (July 3–6, 2026)!

SSF qualified as one of the top two teams at the North Regional Futsal Tournament in Minneapolis this January—competing against strong teams from across the Midwest. This was SSF’s first-ever regional appearance, making the achievement even more remarkable.

More Than a Team

SSF isn’t just about futsal.

Led by Coach Stanley, along with coaches Benito and Troy, the club is built on something rare—development, generosity, and community. The focus is on helping kids fall in love with the game, build skills, and grow as teammates and people.

Coach Stanley regularly goes out of his way to make the game accessible—whether that means extra time, flexibility, or making sure no child is left out due to financial constraints. For SSF, player growth matters more than ownership or credit.

During recent difficult times for many immigrant families in the community, SSF coaches and families stepped up—raising funds, delivering groceries, and supporting kids however they could. This is a club that shows up for its people.

Why We’re Fundraising

To make this Nationals trip possible, we are raising funds to cover:

$800 - Tournament Registration fee

$1600 - Practice facility rental ($80/hr x 2 hours x 10 sessions)

$460 - Jersey ($40 x 9 + $50 x 2 coaches)

$1000 - Coaching Staff Compensation

$1250 - Coach Accommodation & Food

$350 - Coach Airfare

$250 - Coach Ground Transportation

All funds will be collected and managed by Coach Stanley.
