RAF Bradwell Bay Preservation Grp Community Event

This coming September 18th 2021 we the RAF Bradwell Bay Preservation Group are hosting an event in partnership with the Green Man Inn at the Waterside, Bradwell on Sea, Essex. The event we are organising is to raise funds for the Preservation Group and Air Ambulance as our chosen Charity and to take our attendees back in time to the 1940’s.

The event we are planning and organising is called “Fabulous Forties with the Hotsie Totsies” who are booked to come and sing two forty minute sets for us from approximately 19.30 hrs at the garden marquee at the Green Man Inn.

We have also booked a full ten minute Spitfire display with Ultimate Warbird Flights Ltd. which will take place opposite the Marina at approximately 17.30 hrs subject to the CAA permission being granted which is currently in process.

We also have many other activities planned for the day including a guided walk around the disused airfield that was RAF Bradwell Bay which will start at 13.00 hrs. Remaining structures of interest like the Watch tower, Blister Hangars and the Runways with footprints, hand prints including paw prints will be shown and talked about amongst other subjects of historical interest such as the St. Peter’s chapel nearby.

We are planning what will be a fabulous day out and a memorable evening.
