Hi, I'm Lucy, a co-founder and resident audio nerd at Radish Radio.

We're raising €10,000 to keep Radish Radio on air and independent, and to launch our next chapter: equipping you and your collective, wherever you are, with sound systems you can take directly to protests, marches, and direct actions.

€10,000 means:

  • RADIO INFRASTRUCTURE - We can cover all the structural costs to keep Radish Radio on air, free and community-owned: Broadcasting licenses, radio platform subscription, web costs, app development.

  • HUMAN-CENTRED COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE - We can keep creating in-person and on-air spaces for progressive musicians, writers, composers and activists to unite and build the soundtrack for the revolution.

  • PHYSICAL SONIC INFRASTRUCTURE - Transport-friendly, quality soundsystems get into the hands of organisers who need them most. The more €€€ we raise, the more soundsystems we will be able to put together, and the more groups will have access to them.

We want to have a soundsystem kit ready to equip our queer Hungarian comrades at Budapest Pride at the end of June 2026. Help us to reach our goal!

One year ago, Radish Radio went on air. Since then, 150 artists, DJs, and climate and social justice collectives across 30 countries have broadcast through us sharing music, resistance, and solidarity with anyone tuned in.

We are not just building a radio station. We are building new sonic infrastructure for our movements.

Where collectives on the frontlines of the climate crisis, of racial justice, of land rights and labour rights, can speak directly to the people who need to hear them. Where music is understood as political, because who gets heard, and whose culture travels, has always been political.

One year in, that project feels more urgent than ever.

More than ever, we need agile movement infrastructure that is not billionaire-owned. We need to be able to communicate, discuss, celebrate, and strategise together away from surveillance and data harvesting. Radish Radio is part of an exciting and growing shift towards more human-centred communications infrastructure.

Music is key to this shift. Music can light a fire under a crowd, and a good soundsystem and line-up can be a game-changer in terms of turnout to a mobilisation. Right now, too many grassroots groups are showing up in silence because they simply can't afford the kit.

Chip in what you can, and be part of this.

One year on air.
Year two in the streets!
See you there :)
