ITA: Joey, il nostro piccolo Fox Terrier di nove anni, con la sua gioia di vivere ha illuminato la nostra vita da quando è parte della nostra famiglia.Qualche mese fa si è improvvisamente manifestata una dolorosa zoppia ad un arto che in pochissimi giorni è divenuta paralisi. Il frenetico tentativo di individuare quale fosse la causa attraverso radiografia, TAC e risonanza magnetica ha portato alla terribile scoperta di un tumore alla radice dei nervi. Eravamo e tuttora siamo devastati. Il 4 febbraio scorso Joey è stato sottoposto ad un delicato intervento chirurgico per asportare la massa tumorale. Joey sta lottando per guarire nonostante la sofferenza e la difficoltà di movimento. Sfortunatamente la sua incredibile forza d'animo e il commovente desiderio di vivere non sono sufficienti: la biopsia ha diagnosticato poche possibilità di una totale guarigione. La radioterapia potrebbe aiutare ma è estremamente costosa. Inoltre la clinica specializzata si trova in Slovenia, ciò vuol dire fronteggiare anche i costi del viaggio e della permanenza. Saremmo veramente grati a chiunque volesse sostenerci con una donazione. Non importa quanto generosa. Insieme daremmo a Joey la speranza di vincere la sua battaglia.Finora non abbiamo risparmiato alcuno sforzo per aiutarlo e non desideriamo desistere ma senza il vostro supporto sarà difficile non arrendersi.

ENGL: Joey, our little nine year old Fox Terrier, has brightned up our life with his liveliness since he entered our family. Few months ago a painful lameness appeared and within a few days Joey showed paralysis of a front leg. The frantic attempt to identify the problem through X-rays, computer tomography and magnetic resonance led to the scary diagnosis of a nerve root tumor. We were, and still are, heartbroken. On February 4th Joey has undergone surgical removal. Since then, despite the pain and difficulty moving, Joey has been struggling hard to recover. Unfortunately, his amazing strong will and moving desire to live are not enough: the biopsy of the tumor diagnoses few chances for total recover. Radiation therapy may help but it is expensive. In addition, the clinic specialised is located in Slovenia which means that further expenses for travel and accomodation will follow. We would be really grateful to anyone who could support us with a donation, no matter how generous this might be. All together we can give Joey the chance to win his battle. We have spared no effort so far to help him and we don't want to surrender but without your help it might turn out to be really hard not to give up.
