Radio Active

A small group of ham radio operators known as LA HOG ie Lower Arkansas Ham Operators Group is working in cooperation with our local museum. The museum has just finished restoring this wonderful caboose in 2023. It is from the local train that runs in the community. They have given our group permission to use the caboose to help train ham operators and to operate radios from the caboose. One unique factor is the caboose is on two historic trails. This is important for a ham radio activity POTA (Parks On The Air) you can google this. Our goal is to use this unique structure to promote ham radio to the younger generation and provide the equipment needed. And also to attract other hams to this site to use the caboose to participate in the POTA program. We need contributions to purchase radio equipment for the caboose. We have already secured all electrical requirements needed. Thank you for supporting our project
