On May 2nd, 2026, I’ll be doing my next HYROX race. But this one isn’t really about me or my time.

I’m raising money to support Safe Haven, a small orphanage in Nepal.

Safe Haven supports children who have come from extremely difficult backgrounds, including situations of abandonment, abuse, and exploitation. It isn’t a big charity with loads of funding behind it. It’s a simple home providing children with what they need most, a safe place to live, eat, go to school, and have some kind of stability.

Right now, Safe Haven needs financial support to keep going. Not for anything extravagant. Just for the things that most of us don’t even think about such as a roof that stays over their heads, food that’s there every single day, school fees so they don’t lose their education and basic healthcare when they get sick. Some of the children are dealing with health conditions that are completely treatable, if the support is there.

Why this matters to me:

I’ve trained for a few HYROX races now. I know what it feels like when you’re exhausted and everything in you wants to slow down or stop. But that feeling passes. For these kids though, this is just everyday life.

So hopefully this race is an opportunity to actually do something useful with it.

The Goal:

I’m aiming to raise £3,000 to help keep Safe Haven running and support the children who rely on it every day.

That amount will go directly towards essentials like food, rent, and education. The things that keep this home going.
