Racheal and Summer’s Wheely Amazing Gap Year 2025-2026

Hi, I’m Racheal’s mum. For over a year we have been planning a wonderful gap year for Racheal who has learning disabilities, physical disabilities and is blind. Her amazing friend, Summer, is giving up a year, before she goes to university, to support Racheal to have awesome adventures all over Europe and in Canada. We had thought that Summer could be paid as Racheal’s carer for the year, but were told at the beginning of June that it’s not possible due to employment law and health & safety at work etc, as we will be travelling most of the time.

Please help me to give Summer some spending money for the year, and acknowledge what a wonderful young person she is to still be prepared to come despite the disappointment of not being paid.
