Race to the (Virtual!) Stones 2020
Catherine, Teresa, Bob and Rachel...
When we signed up for Race to the Stones (100km in one go) we knew we were in for a huge challenge. Our training started in earnest, however when the live event was postponed the training certainly tailed off!
We jumped at the idea of completing the newly formed virtual event, 100km over a week. How hard could it be?! After many conversations of how we might 'whop out a half marathon before breakfast' and 'sneak a couple of playground miles in at lunchtime', we have realised that this is going to be hard. Very hard.
And so we'd like to make it worthwhile. We're going to be raising money for Restore Hope, a local charity in Latimer who have been especially amazing throughout the past few months in supporting local families in need with food, connection and other necessities.
Please donate if you can; every donation will make our jelly legs and crazed heads a little more worthwhile!
More information about Restore Hope: Restore Hope works with and support children, young people and families. Our vision is for every struggling family in the Chilterns to find help and hope for the future. We aim to support families and those in need in our community who are isolated, marginalised and in need of help.
