Race for the Unembraced
Donation protected
Hello all,
Thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Ethan, and I am currently a United States Marine Corps infantry officer. I am originally from Omaha, NE and now living in California. On June 1, I started training for a marathon I will run on September 18th of this year. I am raising money for orphaned and terminally ill children in Columbia.
Shortly after training, I shared this challenge with many friends and family. There was a plethora of support right off the bat. I had fellow Marines volunteering to train with me, family giving me advice, and friends encouraging me along the way. I know that this is a luxury that not everyone encounters. On June 11th, I realized I wanted to help these people in any small way possible.
With your help, 100% of our donations will go to a retreat house, church and children’s hospice in Bogotá, Colombia. With the support of generous and faithful donors, a new hospice is currently under construction that will expand the number of beds available so Totus Tuus can help 70 to 100 children per year. With further donations, they aim to spread their services over multiple cities, helping as many abandoned and ill children as possible.
I cannot thank all of you for taking the time to read this and contributing to such a fantastic cause! I will attribute each of the top 25 donors with one mile of the 26.2 miles of their choosing. With that mile, I will write a personal note of all my thoughts during your mile (with potentially some flavorful language sprinkled in).
