Support underserved community in Tanzania with RACAS.

Dear friends and supporters,

My name is Fatuma Juma, a founder of the Non-Profit organization, RACAS Foundation, I’m reaching out to you, on behalf of the organization to share an important initiative that needs your support. As Tanzanian born women currently living in New York, I’m inspired to improve children’s right and women’s well-being through community led initiatives back home in Tanzania.

Five years ago, I began caring for an orphanage, and last year in 2023, I officially registered the RACAS Foundation to expand our operations. This has increased the demand for funding as our operations grow.

The foundation advocates for the well-being and rights of underserved children and women. We support children's educational journeys, improve girls' hygiene during menstruation, and empower women with basic entrepreneurial skills.

Currently, we are fundraising to support a three-year project in Bagamoyo, Pwani region, Tanzania. The "Comprehensive Empowerment of Women and Children in Bagamoyo" project, spanning from 2024 to 2027, aims to support 100 students at Dunda Secondary School whose families are unable to support their education. Additionally, we will provide girls in need with free and safe sanitary pads to ensure their continued attendance at school during their menstrual cycle. Moreover, the project aims to equip women with entrepreneurial skills to enhance their own and their families' well-being.

The funds raised will directly contribute to these activities. The majority of the funds will be used to purchase items such as pads, school supplies for students, and to pay for training services to support women in business.

Your contribution will have a meaningful impact on our organization’s ability to sustain the projects we undertake right now. It will raise the number of children we are supporting right now and intensify the service we provide to the Women in Tanzania. By supporting us, you’re helping us to create lasting change and positively impact lives of the underserves community in my county.
