My name is Marena Grondziowski, and I’m an elementary band director from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My husband and I are facing a critical point in his immigration status, and we need your support. Eldar emigrated from Azerbaijan in 2016, we met in 2017, and have been married since 2019. We have been working to secure Eldar’s immigration status since 2021, and have exhausted all of our money trying to do so.
As some of you may know, the process of immigration can take many months, even years to complete. Unfortunately, we have run into setbacks that require more help from an attorney. After waiting almost three years to hear anything back from USCIS, we received notice today that we have only 30 days to submit more evidence to suport Eldar’s hope to be granted a green card and for his case to not be denied.
I work two part-time jobs in addition to my full-time teaching position, and Eldar is a full-time Amazon delivery driver. Despite our best efforts, we barely make enough to make ends meet. The attorney fee of $4,500 is due immediately. This is beyond our reach and we are asking for your help. We have been married five years. Both of us are hardworking individuals trying to build a life together, and the very real threat of separation due to immigration complications is tearing me apart.
The additional $3,000 will be used to finish paying the attorney after we have successfully paid for the down payment.
Please, any little bit can help. Your support means more than helping us meet a financial goal. It means helping us continue building our future together.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Sincerely,
Marena Grondziowski
