In the early morning hours of July 4th, my parents were on their way to Ontario Airport. My mom was supposed to be flying out to help my brother and sister-in-law. At 4:13 AM, I got the call no one ever wants: they had been in a serious car accident.
My dad was rushed to the hospital with a large head wound. He ended up needing 9 staples and 2 stitches for the cut, plus 11 more stitches on the bridge of his nose and forehead. He also suffered a broken rib and multiple bruises. My mom, thankfully, escaped with just some bumps and bruises — and we’re incredibly grateful it wasn’t worse.
While we’re thankful they’re alive, the accident totaled my dad’s truck — the one he swore would be his last. He’s always been the kind of man who puts everyone else first, never asking for much and always getting by with what he had.
But this time, I want to change that.
He deserves something better. Something safe, reliable, something he actually wants. I’m asking for help to get him back on the road — not just in any truck, but in the truck of his dreams.
Every donation, share, or kind word means the world to us. Thank you for helping a man who’s done so much for others finally receive something back.
