Making Memories
Donation protected
We are setting up this Go Fund Me on behalf of our friends Stacey and Michael, and their children Brody, Zac and Remi.
Before welcoming their daughter Remi-Belle in April, Michael and Stacey received the devastating news that Remi would be born with a complex, congenital heart defect and a chromosomal condition 22q deletion syndrome (Di George Syndrome).
This meant when Remi was born she would need immediate intensive medical care. Remi is now 5 months old and has spent the majority of this time under the care of the amazing staff in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Since Remi’s admission, her fighting spirit has shone through and she has overcome each of many battles. Remi has recently been discharged home under the care of the palliative team. Unfortunately, at present Remi is unable to undergo the life-saving cardiac surgery she requires due to the complexity of her diagnosis.
Stacey and Michael are Remi’s full time carers due to her life limiting condition, resulting in neither being able to return to work. They were due to get married in September of this year, but made the decision to cancel as they wanted their three children present, and it wasn’t possible due to Remi’s hospitalisation at the time.
Their family and friends would love to be able to give them this special day and the memories to cherish as a family of five.
We would greatly appreciate any donations to help us give them this special day they all deserve.
