Hello, my name is Thomas Yang, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read our dad, Watouah Yang’s story.
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support and prayers to help our dad fight colon cancer.
In early 2023, our dad was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. He underwent surgery to remove parts of his colon in May of 2023. Although we hoped the removal of the infected part of his colon was cured, it was not. In October of 2024, he was not feeling well and was rushed to the ER, it was then that we found out his cancer had relapsed and aggressively progressed to stage 4. Our dad was advised to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. Our dad’s 12 rounds of treatment began in February of 2025 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Before electing to go forth with chemo, he was advised by his Doctor that without chemo, he only had up to 6 months to live. After the first six rounds of chemo, he has surpassed that mark, and we are very thankful. He will continue the last 6 rounds of chemo starting in June. Everyday, We remain hopeful that he will continue to fight through this with the love and support from everyone.
As you can imagine, the financial burden of our dad’s care is overwhelming. We are facing not only costs of his treatments, but also medications, essential medical procedures, hospital stays (unfortunately, his insurance does not cover all his expenses), and travel costs to and from the Mayo clinic.
All donations raised will go towards our dad’s medical expenses and ongoing medical care. Any contribution, big or small would make a tremendous difference in supporting our dad’s fight against colon cancer.
We ask that you please keep our dad in your thoughts and prayers.
We will keep everyone updated on his progress, but if anyone has additional questions about our dad’s journey or about other forms of donations, please feel free to message us directly.
Your unwavering support means the world to us during this time. On behalf of all of my siblings & our Yang family, THANK YOU!
