Hi I’m fundraising for Tara Gould. My daughter Tara Gould was engaged to a wonderful, loving, caring, man Michael Ryan. Michael and Tara lived in Shadow Lawn Mobil Home Park in Highlands New Jersey. When the owner decided to close it down they were left homeless. A local church charity helped them by paying for them to stay in a local motel. After a while the church could no longer help nor could anyone else. Michael was an iron worker in Manhattan and was working in the vicinity of the Twin Towers when that horrific event took place on September 11, 2001. Being a selfless person, Michael knew he had to help. He ran into the buildings along with some of his co-workers to try and save whom ever they could. Little did he know that heroic act would effect his health in an enormous way. Michael developed Renal (kidney) failure and was on dialysis 3 to 4 times a week for over 16 years. He did receive a kidney from a family friend in 2010 and had a transplant which improved his quality of life for a time. Within 3 years his body rejected the kidney and his health progressively worsened. Due to the renal failure he developed many serious health problems such as his heart and had to have open heart surgery, he developed high blood pressure, became diabetic, had enormous weight loss, painful cramping of his legs along with so many other health issues. No matter how much pain he was in or how sick he felt he never complained and always had a smile. After many years of suffering our Michael passed away on November 1, 2022 at 49 years young. Even then he was selfless by donating his healthy liver to someone in need who was waiting for a match for a liver transplant. My daughter Tara loved him dearly and took excellent care of him for the 16 years they were together. She never once complained about how she gave up years of her life to take care of him because she loved him and that’s who Tara is. She is loving, caring, giving, sensitive, considerate, kind and selfless. I am proud and honored to be her mother. Unfortunately, due to Michael being in and out of hospitals too many times to count throughout the years they never found the time to get married. Because they never married that has put Tara in a bad financial situation. Now she is homeless alone and the local church who helped can no longer do so. Nor can anyone else she turns to. She is in desperate need of financial help to aid her to getting on her feet. Tara has health issues as well. She has painful Cellulitis in both legs and is under a doctors care for depression. Due to all of her worries she hasn’t even had the time to mourn Michael. I know times are hard for everyone these days and any help will be greatly appreciated more than you could know. The finances would be used for her to find an affordable place to live, a mattress to sleep on, a small table and a couple of chairs, a small couch, and locating her car which was towed from a friends house. She needs to locate where it is and insure and register it. Thank You for allowing me to share Tara and Michaels story. GOD BLESS YOU
