On July 1st my friend went to pick up his child, as he usually does during his scheduled time. He showed up calmly and respectfully, hoping for a smooth pick up. However, the child’s mother refused to let him pick up the child, becoming verbally aggressive without cause. When he insisted on peacefully taking his child as per court orders she suddenly turned violent and assaulted him in front of his son.

In an unfortunate twist, when the police arrived, instead of protecting him as a victim, he was arrested based on her accusations. It was heartbreaking and unjust. My friend, a hardworking father who only wanted to pick his child, was taken into custody, not for violence or wrongdoing, but for trying to be present in his child’s life.

What made matters worse is that this arrest triggered ICE involvement. Now, he faces possible immigration consequences, all because of a situation that spiraled out of control due to someone else’s anger and misuse of power. He’s not just fighting for his freedom, he’s fighting to remain in his children's life.

The funds will go towards the Attorney fees, bond fees and for his family to stay afloat during this difficult time. He has been the rock of his home providing, protecting, and supporting his family.
