My family and I could really use your support. I have 4 kids and my wife that mean everything everything to me. That is why I have created this go fund me page so I know that they will be taken care of during this tough and trying time for all of us. On May 23rd, when I got home from work, I wasn't feeling right. I couldn't breath and I couldn't hold on to anything in my right hand, and I tried to get a drink of water, but it wouldn't even stay in my mouth. I told Amber we had to go to the emergency room now, something wasn't right. When we got there, it took everything I had to walk into the emergency room. Once I got in there, things spiraled badly really fast. I was rushed to the back and then was taken for an MRI scan immediately. In 20 minutes, I had lost all my function on my right side and couldn't even talk. Amber had to go in the hallway with the doctor, and she had looked like she'd seen a ghost. She came back in the room and said she had to go make some phone calls but would be right back. I knew something was wrong.
The doctor tried to show me on the scan that I had a brain bleed, but I couldn't understand. The doctor had told her to call my family because they didn't think I was going to survive this. I was rushed to Evansville and thought I was going to have to have emergency surgery on my brain. All I could think about is not being able to tell my kids, Amber, dad, and my family I love them and how sorry I was. I didn't have to have surgery. I was at Deaconess for a week and then transferred back to Jasper where I spent almost a month in the skilled care unit. When I got there, I still wasn't able to move anything on my right side of my body. I couldn't walk or use my arm or talk very well. They worked with me every day until the day I got to go home. I'm able to walk and move my arm. I'm talking better. I can't use my arm the best and have to use a walker and keep my brace on my leg. I still can't feel anything, and I'm still numb on the right side.
I am taking outside rehabilitation every week and working to get everything back to normal so I'm able to have a normal life again. I had a hemorrhagic brain bleed that caused me to have a stroke at 38 years old. I will make it through this and reevaluate everything in my life because I almost lost everything in less than 30 minutes because of this. I'm going to do everything to make sure it doesn't happen again. I don't like asking for help, but here I am asking. I can't go back to work for a little while yet. Amber can't go back to work yet either until she is released by here doctor. All our savings is gone and I have Dr bills coming in left and right. The donations will be used for Dr bills and to be able to hopefully take care of food, rent, and what my family needs for the next month or so until I can get better and get back to work. I hope that no one reading this has to go through what I went through and still going through. I ask that you keep us in your prayers and if you can help, God bless you and thank you so much for your kind donations. God bless everyone. If can't donate please if you can share. Thank you for everything.
