Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic

Hi, my name is Maddie Pruden! I am fundraising for my mission trip to the Dominican Republic (March 17th-25th). Through prayer and the weight on my heart, I’m taking a leap of faith to go serve the Lord and His people. I will be serving men, women, and children in Barahona, DR. There will be about 30 other college students and University Ministries going on the trip. We will be working with Children of the Nations, who are partnering with Dominican and Haitian families. We will be teaching/educating, helping with construction projects, medical ministry, and sports. I am eager to experience a different culture and learn how the Lord has worked in others' lives.

This is a great opportunity for me to get away from the stress of college and focus my attention on others/serve them. I want to see how the Lord has changed their lives and hear their unique stories. This trip was not created to show them the "right way", but rather to immerse ourselves in a culture where we can talk about the Lord and learn from one another. I believe that this trip will make an impact on me that will be extremely beneficial for my faith and my gratitude for all that I have been blessed with. I want the opportunity to go love God’s people and do all that I can to help them since the Lord has graciously done the same and more for me. I believe that the Lord has a purpose for me and I want to find a way to use the gifts that He has given me to help others. It will also give me time with the Lord to sit and listen to His will in my life.

If you are able, I would appreciate any donation you can give, no matter the size! I am aiming to raise a total of $1,800 to go on the trip by March 17th. This money will go specifically towards the plane ticket, housing, and food for the trip. If you are not able to give, I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I completely understand!
