Baby Robert was born at just 26weeks, only weighing 2lbs 5oz and 15in long. During his first week of life he developed NEC which is an infection in the intestines. This lead to an emergency surgery, where he lost his appendix and 5cm of intestine. Due to this infection baby Robert had an osteomy bag put in. The next day he need a life saving surgery for a direct line into his heart because of the infection, which he then was able to get blood, platelets, and plasma transfused. This infection also cause e coli because his intestines ruptured. After many transfusions, and even his lungs collapsing, he had his reversal surgery to close up his belly last Thursday, on  7.17.20. He's doing  better, but because of the TPN he is on and was on has caused his liver to not work properly. I also have two little girls as well. I'm here to ask you all for help in medical bills, along with travel expenses. I'm currently unemployed due to Covid, and we could really use the help. Thank you Please keep my son in your prayers as well. How this all started....I found out I was expecting in November of 2019. I went with a new obgyn, because my old one was from when I lived in California. My first vist was on a Friday, the Doctor I had told me that I was not Pregnant, and said, to me come back Monday. I come back and he still said no baby, but it looks like you may have a molar pregnancy because of the tissue he see and the blood work. The doctor tells me I need a D&C and they will do a biopsy. I have the D&C on December 18, 2019. Now with all this talk of possible cancer, I am in a bit of depression and morning the loss of yet another baby. A week or so later my test comes back that it wasn't a molar pregnancy, just tissue. At this point im confused, but relieved. A couple weeks go by when one night as I get up to go to the bathroom, I stared hemorrhaging. I called the doctors and scheduled appointment for the following day. I see the doctor and he doesn't even check me out, tells me its my period, and that he wants me to have a CT (cat scan). I left that day, and had the same issue 2 more times before I went to the hospital for a second opinion. This is where I found out I was in fact 13 weeks pregnant..sigh. I found another OBGYN, and started to take care of myself as a pregnant woman. This crazy journey was just beginning though, I had a soft ball sized clot, which irritated my cervix putting me into preterm labor at 24weeks. I spent the whole month of April alone, riding in pain with contractions everyday, ever 5, 2, to 10 minutes apart. My two girls were home,, missing their mom, and not understanding why I was not home.. I was a mess, I couldn't take it anymore, at 26weeks I went into full blown labor, giving birth on May 4th all alone.
