A month ago, Jamaica was hit with a devastating category 5 hurricane (Melissa), one that's unlike anything we've seen before. Unfortunately, many homes were destroyed, including my family's - my mom, 2 sisters, and aunt were affected. My mom is currently staying with a neighbor, but they're without electricity, gas, and an inside kitchen. My sisters and aunt are with other relatives, trying to get back on their feet.

I am reaching out to our community in Canada for support. We're organizing to send necessities like blocks, zinc, and steel to help refurbish their homes and purchase other things needed for their survival.
