Ryan Allen Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

I have been in Scouting since I was 5 years old and I am now a few steps away from earning rank of Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be achieved, it is not only recognition of many years of hard work and dedication, but it is also an honor I will cherish forever. One of the final requirements is to complete an “Eagle Scout Project”. The beneficiary of my project is Wantagh Congregational Memorial Church. I will be building two additional 5’ x 30’ garden beds allowing the church to double the amount of food grown and donated to local food pantries. It entails excavating yards of grass and soil, installing hundreds of feet of 4x4 framing, mixing and distributing thousands of pounds of topsoil and compost, and finally laying 4 yards of blue stone between the garden beds. An integral part of the project is raising funds so there is no out of pocket expense for the Troop or beneficiary. Donations of any size are much appreciated and go towards helping people who are less fortunate than many of us.
