Borneo Expedition

Hi, my name is James Batty and I am fundraising for an expedition to Borneo with Honley High School in July 2025.

The aim of the expedition is to learn lifelong skills, assist local villages by helping to build roads, buildings and assist with farming. We will be trekking for a week through the mountains before arriving in the village. Learning about the effects of climate change in other countries and learning their way of life.

The cost of the trip is £4124, the vaccinations are over £600 and I have specific kit that we have to take. I have been working hard bottle collecting and have a part time job washing dishes. All the money I earn is going to fund this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have never done anything like this, and have never been away from home for this amount of time. I feel truly grateful to have this opportunity to try and go to Borneo and feel this is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
