Qurbani 2024 for needy families and Orphans

As we approach the blessed occasion of Eid ul-Adha, let us come together to spread joy and happiness to those who are less fortunate in our community by donating towards this Campaign!

The person performing Qurbani will be rewarded for every hair on the body of the animal sacrificed for every fibre of wool in case of sheep (Masaabih Vol.1 page 129)

What is Qurbani and why is it important?

The act of Qurbani(sacrifice) is carried out following the Eid Adha Salat or prayers which are performed in the congregation on the morning of the Eid day

The act of Qurbani consists of slaughtering animals and sacrifices to mark this occasion in remembrance of prophet Ibrahims sacrifice for the almighty Allah.

The sacrificial animal must be a sheep, Goat, Cow or a Camel. As a goat consist of 1 Qurbani share whereas a Cow or a Camel consist of 7 shares per animal. The animal must be in good health and over a sutain age to be slaughtered humanly and gently

Many Muslim families in Uganda cannot afford to buy meat for a simple meal throughout the year. For countless deprived people, the pleasure of eating meat is only sometimes possible once a year which is on the day of Eid Adha.

Cow: $250 - $300 USD

Goat: $40 USD

Sheep: $45 USD

Camel: $550 USD
