Hi my name is Gary Lee Weger ll.
I was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army
who served overseas and now I want to serve my local community.
Through my recovery from narcotics I have discovered the lack of
resources in the rural areas of this great country.
Ironically these rural areas many times are saturated with addicts.
Low income, lack of work and sadly hope.
My addiction tried to destroy my life.
For almost 3 years I was lost.
I sold three properties, and kept moving, trying to outrun myself and
my addiction.
Until I finally surrendered and started looking for support groups, from
NA to AA, from "Celebrate Recovery" to small church based programs like "Christ Recovery Group"
and even VA programs.
My dry date is December 10th 2019, praise God and those few people
and programs I could find to assist me in the journey going forward
into sobriety.
Which brings me to this fundraiser I've starting called ROLLING
RECOVERY.
(DBA future 501C3)
"Rolling Recovery" is a central point to create an updated database for other recovery programs that have been verified to still be in operation , printed and handed out in each town we roll into, all free of charge along with handing out food and water at each event as long as funding permits.
I'm targeting the BELLY OF THE BEAST so to speak, go where the people need the help the most, next to the dope houses, park and set up shop on the wrong side of the tracks in each town I roll into.
Bring the fight to the enemy.
The 30,000 is just the number I came up with for funding, whether I raise more or less doesn't matter.
What matters is WE all do something to serve others if we can.
The correct road is most often the roughest but I have found its also worth the ride.
If you would like to help you can reach out to me and join the fight or donate to the the ROLLING RECOVERY GoFundMe.
Thanks and God Bless !
Remember always, that SERVICE to OTHERS is SERVICE to one's self...
Gary Lee Weger II
