Quiet Waters Elementary PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISER
Donation protected
We are a group of parents representing Quiet Waters Elementary School in Deerfield Beach, Fl. Quiet waters is the largest elementary school in our county, serving over 1,200 students. We need your help, our community, with a project that we have started to renovate our playgrounds. Currently, we have 2 glorified sandboxes that our students have access to. The playground backs up to a park and have Iguanas and stray cats that wander throughout our campus, day or night. These sandboxes are unsanitary and unhealthy. The playgrounds are original to the school that was built in 1991. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I implore you to ask yourself, does this look like a fun and safe place for elementary school children to play?
We want to build a safe environment for our students to go out and play, as well as provide them shade throughout the year as temperatures rarely are below 80 degrees and as high as 100 degrees during parts of the year.
We have worked with a playground company for over a year to get all the pieces in place so we can present them to the district. Now, we just need the funding. The cost of the 2 playgrounds is approximately $250,000 based on county-regulated flooring and equipment.
We are parents banning together to try to make a difference and we need as much help as we can get. All the money raised will go 100% to the building of our playground. Please share with friends and families, athletes and influencers and help us make a change at our school.
