Queers for Israel is fundraising for its participation in Stockholm Pride in August. The funds will be used to pay for a pride parade truck, branding, participation in Pride House and to cover travel expenses for the panelists . The remaining funds will be donated to LGBTQ organisations in Israel working to help LGBTQ Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank with work permits and residency in Israel.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East where LGBTQ people can live their lives freely. In the neighbouring countries, the West Bank and Gaza LGBTQ people are still persecuted and to live openly comes with severe risks, including death. For many LGBTQ Palestinians the help from groups like Aguda and Jerusalem Open House to grant a life in Israel is a matter of life and death.
