Queer Elevation: Abby’s Trans-Mountain Journey

Queer Elevation: Abby’s Trans-Mountain journey is a beautifully bananas quest to summit all 58 of Colorado’s majestic 14’ers in 90 days. A beautifully bananas quest that she invites the queer community to join her on, hopefully sharing this journey with 100’s of queer people walking beside her, and 1000’s online as she documents each mountain along the way. Her hope is to facilitate safety, education, and confidence for queer people in outdoor spaces. As a recently out trans woman Abby hopes to build a beautiful community of badass, mountain conquering queer friends and chosen family. She has 15+ years of experience navigating Colorado’s back country, and has completed 40 of the 58 mountains over an eight year span. She completed her Wilderness First Responder Training in February so that she is as prepared as she can be.

The funds raised will go towards helping establish Queer Elevation as a non-profit that offers accessible guided trips, with sliding scale trips and borrowed gear, so that anyone who wants to can enjoy the outdoors.
