Hello everyone, we never thought that we would be in this position, but our home was intentionally set on fire in a terrifying act of violence, which was located at 107 55 130 Street, South Richmond Hill, NY 11419. The person responsible, my estranged husband Anroop Parasram, was not living with us at the time. He entered our yard and forced his way into the house by kicking in the AC unit and climbing through the window. I woke up to the sound of the AC crashing to the ground and found him inside, holding a large knife and containers filled with an unknown liquid. He began threatening me, my daughter, and my grandchildren. In that moment, my daughter acted quickly and bravely by grabbing her two children, running out of the house, and calling the police. Once I knew they were outside, I tried to keep him talking when I saw an opportunity, so I ran to the door and did not look back. Police arrived within minutes. As they tried to enter the house, a massive explosion occurred, injuring several police officers. We are incredibly grateful that everyone survived and received medical care. At the moment, we are trying to take things one step at a time. Right now, we need help covering immediate essentials such as temporary housing, clothing, food, and replacing basic necessities. This has been overwhelming, and starting over from nothing is incredibly hard. Any support, whether it's a donation, prayer, or simply sharing this page, means more than we can express. Thankfully, my daughter, two grandkids, and I were fortunate enough to make it out alive. Thank you so much for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
