The Covid-19 crisis has been tough on Queen & Rook Game Cafe. We have been and will be a place for communities to gather, for friends and families to celebrate birthdays and milestone, or just hang out together to have some fun in person over board games and food. Obviously this has been impossible for us to continue to do besides the occasional virtual hang out.
Our amazing staff has really made the place welcoming, inclusive, and fun. It was with great sadness that we had to lay off our staff last Monday and we have remained open to try to keep our obligations to them. This Gofundme campaign is about them. We ask you to help us raise money for them as well as be able to continue the health care of our employees in April and possibly May. If we pass our goal then we can put some money towards paying bills and vendors as well as needed repairs, as our revenue has dropped dramatically.
Even though we have only been open for 6 months we have seen the power of community in our space and have gotten to know so many of you as regulars and first time customers. We know everyone has been asking for your help and we thank you for generously supporting us. We can't wait to welcome you back to Queen & Rook once this crisis has passed.
