A few years ago, I tried something simple but powerful — my church provided a few rolls of quarters and I went to local laundromats to hand them out to people doing their laundry. You wouldn’t believe the reactions: smiles, relief, even tears. Something as small as a roll of quarters turned into a big blessing for someone’s day.

This year, for my birthday, (9/11) I don’t want gifts. Instead, I want to do it again — but on a bigger scale. My goal is to collect enough to buy rolls and rolls of quarters, then go back to the laundromats and brighten as many people’s days as possible.

It’s not about me, it’s about spreading joy. Every dollar donated literally turns into quarters that go straight into someone’s hands. It’s a simple act, but it means the world to someone who might be struggling or just needs a reminder that kindness is still out there.

Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday by giving instead of getting. Together, we can make laundry day a little brighter for a whole lot of people!
