Quality of Life for Canadian MSers
Hello!
My name is Jessica Daigle.
Nearly 12 years ago, I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis. I was terrified about my future and did not know what this would mean for the rest of my life. As I sought out support from others living with this dis-ease, I turned to research to better understand what I was facing. I put my critical thinking and communication skills to work. In that process, I discovered a common theme among the Canadian MS community: The importance of Quality of Life.
Gaining reasonable access to quality of life supports presents a challenge for many of those I have connected with over the years, making them feel trapped on the rollercoaster ride of MS. This contributes significantly to mental health issues that inevitably cause a domino effect across all areas of life for those individuals.
With the dis-ease being so unpredictable, these individuals will require, at one point or another, assistive devices/equipment, mental health services, physical health services, and other services/aids to facilitate day-to-day life.
I have set out to serve my community by enabling individual quality of life through developing a nonprofit organization (NPO) that I have fondly dubbed the “MS Warrior Network.”
Click here for more details: MS Warrior Network
For this NPO to be launched and to start helping those individuals live as fully as possible, I need your help. I have spoken with a lawyer and received a quote for the initial costs of setup. The sooner I can fund the official NPO status, the sooner we can begin positively impacting many Canadians' lives.
Every donation will make this possible.
With gratitude,
Jessica
