Supporting Charlie & Honoring Spencer’s Memory

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Spencer Connelly on January 27, 2025. Spencer was a father, son, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his daughter, Charlie.

Spencer was born on January 4, 1987, and grew up in North Burnaby, attending Gilmore Elementary and Alpha Secondary School. He later became a scaffolder and general labourer, and had recently earned his Building Service Worker certification, excited for new opportunities that would contribute to a secure future for Charlie.

Beyond work, Spencer loved spending time in nature, sharing his passion for music and arcade trips with Charlie, and teaching her self-defense techniques (which, let’s be honest, she was getting pretty good at—he would joke that she could put him in an armbar!).

As we navigate the heartbreaking reality of losing Spencer, we want to honor his memory while ensuring Charlie has the support she needs during this difficult time. Funds raised will go towards:
