HELP ME HELP HIM!
Donation protected
You “stood your ground” to protect your loved ones from a violent jealous ex-boyfriend, a convicted felon, who not only terrorized a family, beat his former girlfriend and threatened to kill everyone including your own mother and little sister. When you had no one to turn to and no where to run, seeing him try to pull a gun, you shot him in self-defense. He survived.
Now this is clearly a case of stand your ground, right? Not so fast. Imagine that you are poor and young and get assigned an incompetent and uncaring lawyer. Imagine this shady lawyer scares you and coerces you to take a horrible plea deal under the threat that you will get life in prison. This plea deal will incarcerate you for the next 20 years of your young life without the possibility of serving one day less in a Florida prison….yes even after you saved lives from this deranged animal.
Meet Blayke Morris, who at only 17 years old, now 20, sits in a Florida prison because of an incompetent attorney, a plea he should have never accepted, and with no funds to appeal his wrongful conviction. He was raised by his loving grandmother after his father died when he was a small child. His mother was unable to care for him and his life was unimaginably difficult. I have known Blayke since he was around 7 and he always referred to me as his unofficial Aunt Stella.
Blayke needs our help and I am personally committed to finding a way to raise the funds for an appeal but time is running out. We have 30 days to appeal and show the real facts in this case that were never presented. They were shoved under the rug while Blayke rots in prison.
My birthday is next week. My generous friends have always showered me with lovely gifts and dinners out at fine restaurants. This year, however, the best gift you can give me is to contribute and help me raise the funds for Blayke’s defense so we can right this wrong. Let’s show Blayke that no matter how poor you are, no matter how difficult your life has been, people still care and that you deserve to be represented in a way that brings you justice and overturns this wrongful conviction.
Thank you and God Bless.
