Hike for Harv
Donation protected
As a lot of people are now aware, our brother and his family recently recieved the earth shattering news no parent should ever have to hear, that their 17year old son (our nephew) has cancer.
After a painful leg back in February and many Dr's trips, a scan was finally done and confirmed the worst. He has a rare bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. As a family, the news has devastated us, but we can only begin to imagine how terrified him and his parents are feeling. Despite this, Harvey continues to smile. Continues to be the most positive, happy and polite young gentleman you will ever meet. His spirit and his zest for life will touch anyone he meets and we know as a family that he will use that to kick the arse of this horrible disease! It will be a gruelling road of lots of chemotherapy, operations and possibly the loss of his leg, but together as a family we will be there every step of the way.
But... times are mega hard and financially the burden of time off work and costs of getting to london, hotels, new equipment to help Harvey's life be a little easier and much more is already taking its toll, so his family up here in the Highlands want to do all we can to help support them in raising some funds to help ease the financial strain while they navigate this terrifying journey they have got to come.
Us and anyone else who would like to join us will be Hiking for Harv and climbing Ben Nevis. Once at the top, anyone who wishes to, will be having their head shaved to stand along side Harv once he loses his lovely long golden locks, his pride and joy.
Any money raised will go straight to the family to help support them and Harvey and anything left over will be donated to the hospitals that helped treat him. Even the smallest contribution will make a huge difference.
We know you won't let this beat you Harvey. You have totally got this buddy, with a whole army behind you!!
