I’m about to do something that I have never done before, which is to open up about my private life on social media. My friends may have noticed I have had a very small footprint on social media in recent years, even deleting my account for over a year. During this time, my child and I have been going through an enormous amount of suffering and trauma.

It’s hard to put our story into words, but I’m reaching out because my daughter and I need your help. Since escaping a home filled with fear, we’ve been living in turmoil. The justice system has failed us by allowing my ex unsupervised visits with Holly, which led to a terrifying incident that no child should ever endure. We're fighting an uphill battle against an abuser with deep pockets, and my resources are depleted. I’m in desperate need of funds to hire a lawyer here in Colorado, as I can’t afford the retainer. Every donation, no matter how small, will be a lifeline in this dark time. I’m determined to protect my daughter at all costs, but I can’t do it alone. Thank you for any help you can provide.
