Hi, I'm Sister Terez Badon. If you go to Erdington Abbey for Holy Mass I think you already saw me a few times. One of my favourite hobby is running and I enjoy it even more since I realised how easily I can use it to raise money for charities. The first time I run for the Abby Parish to support the work of the Restoration Fund, and this time I invite you to support the work of a group helping homeless people in St. Michael church (Moor Street, Birmingham city centre). I asked my friend Jane, to write a few words about the work they do:

"All that we do is for 'Mary's Honour' and for the Love, Praise and Glory of God.

Serving the homeless by volunteers at Saint Michael's RC Church on Thursday early morning is an absolute God sent and a life line for the homeless and needy when it can be so cold living in doorways on the Birmingham streets and over the last couple of years, homelessness has grown significantly.

Saint Michael's RC Church is located in the heart of the Birmingham city centre. We offer a warm welcome, a place of sanctity, and safety. We serve the homeless hot and cold food and drinks at the table. We want our homeless family to feel loved, wanted and respected.

Homelessness can happen to anyone.

Any donation, no matter how small will help to support and feed the homeless. Your help and support is greatly appreciated. Thank you."

Your contribution will help to buy food and to keep them warm through the purchase of blankets and clothing. On the picture you can see the volunteers (my apology to those who are not on this photo).

Since they are not a registered charity, your donation will go to our bank account: Divine Love Community (Charity number: 1147500) and they will receive it as one sum once the fundraising has finished.

I am going to run a 5k in Sutton Park on the 8 of February as part of the Birmingham Running Festival.

We really appreciate every donation. Thank you.
