Connor Callahan, a three-year-old, energetic, loving and bright toddler (our adorable nephew) is flying to CA at the end of March with Mom and Dad to undergo his second open heart surgery. Connor was born with Alagille Syndrome (ALGS) – a condition affecting the liver, heart, spine, eye, face, kidneys and blood vessels. This tiny Superman has been through more in his three years than most grown adults have. He will be meeting with a specialist at Stanford Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA who pioneered this very important artery reconstruction surgery that Connor needs. Mike, Jess and Connor will be gone for about a month for the surgery. Mike and Jess will be in CA with him the whole time, switching on and off at his bedside in the PICU due to COVID regulations. Both Mike and Jess will need to take time off from their jobs and find living arrangements in CA (hopefully the Ronald McDonald House!). Prayers are welcome for Connor, his doctors and nursing team and for Mom and Dad. We started this GoFundMe page to help with the expenses in CA as well as the travel to and from.
