Adopt-a-Family 2018

As the holidays approach, each of us can agree that we are blessed with many things- friends, family, jobs, and "stuff." We provide for ourselves at a rate that is astounding, and we often take that for granted. Unfortunately, not everyone can say the same. With that said, we are once again asking a favor of each of you. Together, let's help a family in need this Christmas season. The goal is to raise enough money to provide a VERY NICE Christmas to a family who cannot. Each year, the project has been a huge success and we are looking to continue the momentum once again in 2018.
Many of you are aware that we have sponsored a pretty special project this time of year for the past 9 years. Our Adopt-a-Family project grew from a mustard seed of a wish to help out a family in need into a major undertaking. Over the years, we’ve delivered a plethora of blessings to dozens of families in need of a little Christmas miracle. A lot of people made it incredibly special.
An enormous amount of behind the scenes work goes into making it happen. Due to several circumstances beyond our control, we decided that it was necessary to take a break from it this year because we didn’t feel like we could dedicate the appropriate level of attention to it do it right. We pledged that we would be back next year and beyond.
It’s weighed on my mind and heart since the decision was made to opt out this year. I haven’t had much free time to breathe, much less organize a project, but it’s bothered me that maybe we made the wrong decision to skip this year.
Well, as fate would have, Kristen encountered a situation today that has pulled at our heartstrings. A special needs friend of Dana lost her home and everything in it ink a house fire last week. Kristen noticed that she was wearing clothes that didn't fit and was having a hard time getting around because she also lost her eyeglasses. Let that sink it for a moment...
We immediately decided to get the information and details of the situation and we would pull off another Christmas miracle in short time.
Adopt-a-Family 2018 is official ON! It will definitely be a different angle than years past, but the goal is the same—blessing a family in need. This year, a very “special” one. ;)
Thank you for helping!
