For some couples having a baby comes easily, for others it takes more time and for others still it takes intervention to face the struggle of a lifetime.
If you know Albert and Keyanna you know that in 2019 they were blessed beyond measure when they adopted their sweet daughter Chloë Mae. Since then they have been on a journey with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to have another baby.
Unfortunately after three cycles, they have not been able to conceive.
Since they no longer have insurance coverage for this (it ends after three tries and no live birth) they are now going to be taking on the full financial weight of this journey on their own.
While they are so excited that they have been accepted into a shared risk program at their clinic- the cost is much more than they can take on alone.
Entry into the program is $31,000! That number seems huge, because it is!
However, as a community of family and friends I know that we can help them meet this goal and grow their family.
Keyanna and I have been friends for the majority of our lives- she likes to tell the story of two little girls in the back of the church van whose feet couldn't even touch the floor.
Over the years I have seen her love on many children as an Auntie and a Nanny and now as a Mama to Chloë. Ask her about any of her friends with kids and you will see a smile come to her face as she recounts some story or moment when she was able to bond with them. This includes my 4 kids too who sometimes still affectionately call her "Ahkana" as Elliot did before he could say her name.
I put this campaign together as a way to ease some financial stress for them so that all of their attention can be on their daughter and this medically intensive season they are about to walk through again.
This series of shots, procedures and medications will end with a Baby Jones and I am happy to play a small role in it.
If you can donate to this cause please do! They will be forever grateful for your support. If you cannot donate please share the cause and leave them a note in the comments to let them know they are thought of.
