Bridge of hope

Hello friends. Recently, as many of you know, I traveled to India and Bangladesh. While there I met a lot of people and saw a lot of really unique and interesting things. Initially, my trip was business related, but early on I realized my trip had a different purpose. It soon became a mission and humanitarian journey for me.
While in Bangladesh I met some friends who live on an island separated from the mainland. Their only way to cross the deep river is to walk across a poorly constructed bamboo "bridge". The bridge is very slippery, muddy, and dangerous to cross, especially for those who have to carry their babies across it. Please see the two videos I have attached to this fundraiser.
I am asking for your help to build a new bridge for this isolated community. Current estimates to build a four-foot wide, sixty-foot long platform bridge is almost $1,800. Therefore, I am setting the goal for this fundraiser to be $2,000 to help cover any unforeseen expenses during construction. All proceeds will be delivered directly to my partner, Arup Biswas, in Bangladesh who will oversee the construction of the new bridge.
Any remaining funds above and beyond the construction costs will be given to another fundraiser I am supporting for a new water well in a village in India (please see this separate initiative: https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-gurram-sekhar).
Thank you for your support and God bless you all.
