Please help us again this year. We are so close!
Meghan has only been in the hospital a couple of times so far this year, but she has been having terrible seizures. She had to go on another seizure medicine to try to stop them. They are simply too aggressive. This new med has made her extremely drowsy, and she is losing her ability and motivation to eat anything by mouth.
The good news on the research side of the house is that they started clinical trials in late October of last year to test the effectiveness of the ASO treatment in boys with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome. There are also other treatments including ones in which Meghan can participate in clinical trials, but we need more funding to get to that point.
